There might not be a better way to celebrate France’s history in aviation than racing a modern fighter jet with Bugatti’s special-edition Chiron. This Chiron Sport Les Légendes du Ciel carries the aesthetic of early aviation with its paint design, and carries the plane theme throughout the Chiron’s interior.
Powering this land-going jet is the 8.0-liter W16 that sports four turbochargers. This incredible engine makes nearly 1500 hp and can carry this luxury machine to 261 mph if you can find a road long enough to get there.
The ridiculous performance of the Bugatti Chiron Sport makes it the perfect complement to the fighter jet seen in the video above. Unfortunately, we don’t get to see a timed race between the jet and the Chiron, but I’m sure the Bugatti would hold its own. In this artistic rendering of a race, the Chiron looks to take an early lead on the jet.
