According to a media report, Ford is planning to launch a petrol automatic variant of the Figo sometime in August, this year.
The new variant will be powered by a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 95 BHP and 119 Nm. The report states that the engine will be paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and could get paddle shifters. This is the same gearbox that is available in the EcoSport.
This is not the first time that the Figo is getting an automatic transmission option. The 1.5-litre Dragon series engine was also offered with an automatic gearbox. It was discontinued in January 2020. Prior to that, Ford also offered a dual-clutch transmission in the Figo.
