The Hector EX is likely to be offered with the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine.
Earlier this month, MG launch EX variants of the Astor with fewer features. Now, reports suggest that MG might introduce the EX range on the Hector and Hector Plus.
Unlike the Astor, the Hector range is likely to get only one EX variant based on the Sharp trim. It will be positioned below the Sharp variant and could miss out on features such as traction control, hill hold control and electronic stability control.
Reports also suggest that the Hector EX is likely to be offered with the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. This motor puts out 141 BHP and 250 Nm and is paired with either a 6-speed manual , CVT or a dual-clutch automatic transmission.
MG is also said to be planning to introduce the Hector facelift in India. The updated SUV could be launched this festive season.
