The off-roader is available in two variants – Unlimited and Rubicon.
Jeep has launched the locally-assembled Wrangler in the Indian market. The off-roader is available in two variants – Unlimited and Rubicon, priced at Rs. 53.90 lakh and Rs. 57.90 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively.
Jeep started local CKD assembly of the Wrangler in February 2021. As a result, there has been a major revision in the prices of the car. Prior to this, the SUV was imported as a completely built unit (CBU).
The Wrangler is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 264 BHP @ 5,250 rpm and 400 Nm @ 3,000 rpm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and a Selec-Trac full-time four-wheel drive system. The Rubicon uses the same engine and gearbox combination, but is a more rugged version of the standard SUV.
Both, Wrangler Unlimited as well as the Rubicon come with leather seats, a soft touch leather-finish dashboard, UConnect infotainment, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, dual-zone air-conditioning, automatic headlamps, full-framed removable doors, a three-piece modular hard top and a fold-flat front windshield.
This year, Jeep is celebrating its 80th anniversary and to commemorate this, the company has introduced the Wrangler 80th Anniversary Launch Edition. This limited edition variant will also be available in India.
The locally-assembled Jeep Wrangler is available in 5 colour options – Bright White, Sting Grey, Granite Crystal, Black and Firecracker Red.
