If the sound of flat-chat racing cars is fading fast in your memory – hopefully along with any remnants of tinnitus – then you may wish to bag yourself tickets for next year’s key motorsport events at Goodwood. They start with the 79th Members’ Meeting, which is scheduled between the April 9 and 10. This of course is exclusive to Goodwood Road Racing Club Members and Fellows and if you wish to join the GRRC Fellowship the fee is £43 for the year. In addition to admission to members’ meetings, you’ll also have access to exclusive video content and competitions.

For many, though, the biggest events of the year are Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival. After moving to July this year with reduced numbers, the FoS is back to normal for 2022. The dates are June 23 to 26, and there will be a full-capacity crowd to watch the usual attractions, which include past and present racers piloting new and old machinery up the famous Goodwood hill climb. Ticket prices range from £44 for a Thursday adult single to £177 for a four-day pass.

The Revival returns between September 16 and 18, with prices starting at £64 for Friday entrance; a three-day ticket will cost you £205. As usual, kids under 12 get into all Goodwood motorsport events for free with discounted tickets available if you’re aged between 13 and 21.

It’s also worth bearing in mind that any Festival of Speed tickets booked before the March 31 benefit from the UK Government’s ‘creative industry tax relief.’ This reduces the VAT element down to 12.5 per cent. If your interests go beyond motorsport, then Goodwood has something for you, too. There are couple of new events next year that begin with Goodwoof, from May 28 to 29, which is “all things dog”, and Eroica Britannia, from the August 6 to 7, based around vintage cycling.
